New England and Pittsburgh. We've heard this tale over and over in the AFC. Steelers could have the best trio in the NFL. Antonio Brown is the best WR in the league, Bell is within the top 3 in the league, and Big Ben could be anywhere in the top 10 in QB's, but with all that being said they are up against the top 3 QB's to ever play the game. It's true Brady didn't have a good game against Houston, but with the bad plays, they still prevailed. I expect a high scoring contest with a close game but in the end, as most people have to predict New England goes back to the Super Bowl.
With Atlanta against Green Bay game, you have an MVP candidate player Matt Ryan. Matty Ice has been playing great all year long. However, he has some struggles, Julio Jones, and Gabriel are dinged up, and I'm unsure how durable they will be in this big game. With Green Bay, they have pushed through with just Aaron Rodgers. They have NO run game, and their top WR is out. With everything going on this match I push towards Atlanta winning this which will be the first time we've seen them in the Super Bowl since the dirty bird.

I can't say enough how happy I am that football is on tomorrow so I don't have to hear any more political crap. Having said that why can't Peyton Manning just run for office now? Anyway I digress. I get a little annoyed when people talk about how amazing Leveon Bell is. I mean yeah he's good but hands down the best in the league I don't think so. Legarette Blount continues to be the most underrated RB in the league as much as it pains me to say because I can't stand him. Anyway he should be the RB people are talking about, don't believe me? Go check his numbers. Having said that, I think this is the year that Matty Ice wins his first SB and joins the talk of best qb's in the league as the old guard starts to slowly sail off into the sunset.

My Pick:
Atlanta over GB - 242
New England in Pittsburgh... Two of the most hated franchises in recent history square off for an AFC title. Gillette Stadium is a very tough place to play, but if anyone can, its the season Steelers squad. Should be a helluva game. LeVeon Bell's patience is something to behold. I keep thinking, "What the hell is he waiting on", then he hits a hole and explodes for 20 yards. I think the most impressive thing about him is that he always seems to fall forward. Rarely does he get swallowed up in the backfield, and for that, I'd love to have him on my team. That said, I still think the Patriots win in a close one.
ReplyDeleteAtlanta over Green Bay seems logical here. GB has had a helluva run, but where does it end? I don't think they're better than anyone left in it, even though counting out Rodgers is probably the last thing anyone should do. I'm going with Hot-lanta here, but picking these games isn't comfortable.
Atlanta over Green Bay 200
New England over Pittsburgh 100
