No More Bye Week

It's time to see if a BYE week helps or hurts when you're one of the hottest teams in the league.

Seahawks came to play, didn't they, now they'll have to see if they can find similar success against an MVP candidate Matty ICE. Will that week off make Atlanta better or is that Seahawks defense with Russell Wilson too much? These NFC games I think will be the better games and the biggest challenges. Then you have the Patriots facing a Texans team who I'm unsure who's the QB. Houston has the best defense in the game (yes even without JJ Watt), but if they can't put up any points, then they are in trouble.

Dallas has walked through this season with 2 Rookie's leading their offense. Part of me wonders if they wish they'd got that revenge on the Giants, but as it is they will face a red-hot Aaron Rodgers. You think he gave his R-E-L-A-X speech before playing. If not you can't deny Rogers was indeed relaxed, putting up 362 yards and 4 TDs. Green Bay doesn't have a run game, so Dallas is going to look at stopping the passing game and let the young blood do the work. This Steelers-Chiefs matchup will be one to watch. Both cold weather teams, so the weather you'd think won't play a factor. However, Big Ben in a boot very well might. KC defense is going to be a problem as they always have and Smith will control the football smart. This is a game that wouldn't shock me though if it's an upset, though.

My Predictions
Atlanta over Seahawks (5)
Patriots over Texans (100)
Cowboys over Packers (30)
KC over Pitt (15)

Leader's Board
Jordan 190
Kevin 180
Nate 121
Johnse 31
Samantha 7

  1. This is Jordan.

NFC is LOADED with landmines. #1 and #2 better put their chin straps on if they want to get through. Seahawks will miss Earl Thomas, but that secondary eats people. Seriously, they're scary. And my pick to make the Super Bowl if they can get past this game. GB is going to miss Jordy Nelson terribly if he's a no go. There is no flack jacket in the world going to help 2 broken ribs. You can't count Rodgers out though.

For the AFC, I've been an Eagles fan a very long time. And I never underestimate Andy Reid's ability to choke out of the playoffs. Never. The guy is overly conservative to a fault. It always bites him, which is a shame, because X and O, he might be one of the greatest ever to hold a clipboard. But the great ones know how to risk it to get the biscuit. If Ben plays, and is formidable, I like the Steelers. Pats should have no problem with high school JV offense that is led by Osweiler.

    Seahawks over Atlanta (2)
    Patriots over Texans (184)
    Cowboys over Packers (2)
    KC over Pittsburgh (2)

All or nothing... Balls to the wall...

  2. I think you're spot on with Rogers. That packers team is getting by like the patriots of past years. Exceptional qb play a serviceable running game and a decent defense. Normally I would right off the falcons because, well, they're the falcons but the Seahawks have been so inconsistent it's hard to pick a winner in this one. I think they cowboys get lucky this week not having to play at Lambeau and squeak out a win and I'm not one to bet against Brady and the pats in the playoffs. KC pulls out the win as they are the most underrated great team in the league this year.

    My Picks:

    Pats over Texans 121
