Only 2 More Weeks Left.

First off Merry Christmas all my Gates of Helton fans. I appreciate everyone who has gotten on here to read each week, and especially thank you for everyone participating. Whether through forwarding, sharing on social media, or just reading and verbally telling your friends I deeply thank you. With that be said it's not the time to stop yet, we still have more football.

The Giants are fighting for a playoff spot with just 1 more win they'll get in, and with the way Philly has been playing as of late, I truly think the Giants will get in after this Thursday. On the AFC side with the Chiefs losing and the Raiders winning Oakland takes that 2nd spot back over. If they aren't careful though Kansas City owns the tiebreaker. Regardless I believe they both teams make the playoffs

In other Wildcard spot, Miami is trying to lock down that Wildcard slot. Even though I think they'll win this week in Buffalo, it really depends on what happens the next week in New England. Baltimore, Tennessee, and Denver are on the heels fighting for that last spot as well. On the NFC side with the Bay teams tied records (Tampa and Green) it'll be a battle to see which pull it off at the end. Both should win this week, so it's really up to what happens next week.

Side note won't it be crazy if both Denver and Carolina fail to make the playoffs.

My Predictions-

Giants over Philadelphia
Miami over Buffalo
New England over Jets (H)
Tennessee over Jacksonville
Green Bay over Minnesota
Chargers over Browns
Washington over Chicago
Atlanta over Carolina
Oakland over Indy
Seattle over Arizona
Tampa over New Orleans
LA over San Fran
Houston over Cincy
Pitts over Baltimore
Kansas City over Denver
Dallas over Detroit

  1. First off I may sound like a homer but how the talk of the league isn't what the Titans have done is beyond me. If they keep up the hot play they could go from a 3 win team to winning their division. Demarco Murray should be comeback player of the year and Jon Robinson should be executive of the year. Anyway I digress, the Panthers and Broncos will be on the outside looking in and I can't believe I'm saying this but the Raiders are my front runners to win the Super Bowl. But maybe even more impressive is the fact that this will be the week that the Browns finally get in the win column.

    My Picks:
    Giants over Eagles
    Bills over Dolphins
    Patriots over Jets
    Titans over Jaguars (H)
    Packers over Vikings
    Browns over Chargers
    Redskins over Bears
    Falcons over Panthers
    Raiders over Colts
    Seahawks over Cardinals
    Saints over Bucs
    Rams over 49ers
    Bengals over Texans
    Steelers over Ravens
    Chiefs over Broncos
    Lions over Cowboys

    1. This could be the Browns week for sure. The Titans are playing at a great level and I don't know if they are being overlooked, instead there are so many good teams in the AFC this year.

  2. Dallas is sitting pretty on the playoff game, especially after last night. Sucks I didn't get my picks in. I was driving. And ironically, I was gonna pick the Eagles... Sure I'm a homer but Eli always sucks at the Linc... I was actually quite confident we could do it. And we did. Really intrigued by this Lions Cowboys game. I think this very well could be the NFC championship preview.

    The rest of my picks

    Dolphins over Bills
    Pats over Jets
    Titans over Jags
    Vikings over Pack
    Chargers over Browns
    Skins over Bears
    Falcons over Panthers
    Raiders over Colts
    Seahawks over Cardinals (H)
    Bucs over Saints
    Rams over 49ers
    Bengals over Texans
    Steelers over Ravens
    Chiefs over Broncos
    Lions over Dem Boys

    1. Now that the Cowboys have a lock on the #1 seed, I'm not sure if they give everything they got for these next two games with Lions and the Eagles. The Giants proved just as the Seahawks that they are so inconsistent.
